Reviews for Jared Volle’s Comedy Training

Playfully Inappropriate: Interactive is new. The comedy training behind it has helped students, readers, and comedians understand how jokes work and write stronger material for years.

Early feedback on the interactive app

The app idea is great. The solution section is really important. It helped me understand the logic of a comedian.

The lessons, tutorials, and examples are very concrete and really great tools. I'm a fan of the approach.

I really think the website makes sense for the younger crowd that doesn’t have the same attention span and needs interaction to learn. As a teacher, I always opt for an interaction to set the stage for the kiddos. The layout makes a lot of sense, and the modules are a great method for learning.

This course unpacked all of the things I had hoped to learn when I took a standup course in person (and did not). Highly recommend it.

It's great fun to look at how crafting a joke works and then have a go at doing it yourself using the guidance given. The resources cover all the different types so you can look back on the notes to help. It's great to see them working and then see how/why they do.

After this course I feel my review should at least be in the form of a joke! You know, just like the programming courses have reviews in binary, and the gender studies courses have reviews in non-binary. I got a lot out of joke structure and hope to put it to good use in my goal to be Myspace-famous.
